The four-song stretch from Great Escape to All Over Now is immeasurably divine. Oh, I love this album. I LOVE this album.

So often I return to this intricate, spellbinding collection of lullabies. They seem to echo from a vast sonic world, from some untouchable celestial place. A dream within a dream within a dream…

Autumnal, transcendent tunes whisper of times gone by, boundless in their comfort and evocation... At times fuzzy and pleasantly clattering, the album retains a lulling essence that, in the usual way of The Radio Dept., tugs ever so gently on the heartstrings of the listener, awakening feelings that flutter by like leaves in the soft winds of reminiscence. 

A brain-tickling trove of auditory bliss, surging with hazy, mellifluous layers and potent doses of nostalgia. Among my favorite years-late discoveries.

Like a bittersweet reverie, Pet Grief stirs the soul with remembrance of love's warm embrace, swirling with long-held wishes and the wistful magic of memory. There, in the clouds, the golden days of childhood linger, along with every first dream, every starry-eyed belief... In a tender rush, The Radio Dept. call them all back to me. 

Kishi Bashi poured every ounce of his dazzling creative energy into this exultant gift of an album. His every instrument is a living thing, a reflection of the infectious joy within him. Lighght is precisely that: a source of light, a healing balm for the soul, a wondrous show of moving color, love, and hope.

Caroline is truly a goddess of experimental pop, and with Desire, she's reached her zenith. Addictive, multilayered soundscapes set fire to this kaleidoscope of artistic achievement, but at the heart of it all beats the miraculous, cathartic force that is her voice. The music pours from her - she breathes it, shapes it, harnessing every note with an electric, otherworldly instinct.
