This album hits home and reminds me of friends from California.

Vocals remind me heavily of Law Dispute, and those saturated reverb-y guitar layers awaken my initial interest in Andy Othling's solo work as Lowercase Noises.

Shout out to Fe D. for the recommendation.

    Before there was Departures..
    Before there was Restless Mind..

    There was this.

Outside of why this album is great on its own—because it IS great, hands down—Layman's Guide was my very first precursor to what I do musically today. If it weren't for this album, I would not be where I am today.

For me, this is THE album.

Inside the Anomie Machine Inside the Anomie Machine
This is quite a debut release. Large, viscous layers of guitars and samples underline the visceral theme of devaluation throughout this album; fronted by sludgy, detuned riffs and pissed-off vocals (guest spots, as well) that have sludge-central written all over these tracks. Slam it down, real loud like.

It may never be that the world will ever know what E! True Hollywood Story lurks behind the backstage curtain of The Fullmore Show...

If there's one thing to be sure of, it's that there are many laughs to be had.

I've had the pleasure of hearing this album in its entirety before it hit the shelves at Walmart, so I KNOW it's good... And you don't... and that's sad... but that'll dissipate soon enough. Purchase the shit out of this. Now!

    Ravage Ravage
Sludgey McSludgerson called... he said, "Damn, son."

Huge, pendulous downbeats that make you feel tiny and ssmol.
