There are so many reasons I love Fern's music, but the one I keep coming back to is that she calls the wind "who." All the non-human beings are smiling on this album. <3

Been following this band from Day One. I've loved everything they've released, but the sophistication of this album is on a new level. The tracks just melt into one another, and every member of the band has truly found their voice. (Shoutout to Joe's fancy drumwork on "Found Some Light" and Leanna's vocals on "Joanna"!) The title track is magnificent. Thanks for this, folks - your art matters.

The Rockrose and the Thistle The Rockrose and the Thistle
In the very first track, they pledge to do what they can to mend the dreadful tears in the world, and by the Good Old Gods do they deliver... Art is the way we craft a new reality, and this is the band I want holding the needle.

Absolutely charming. These tracks feel like wandering through your hometown on a summer afternoon, with a good friend and no plans and an elusive sense of longing for something you can't place. I'll be keeping an ear out for more from this band!
