It’s an already a great opening track to the Sunday’s Child album, in my opinion. However, the drum machine combined WITH the live drums gives it a real groovin’ style that I loved immediately. And I enjoyed the extended jam at the end. I’m so glad you included this track!
I love the acoustically based mix of this album. Reminds me Led Zeppelin 3, or The Rez Band’s acoustically based Ampendectomy.
Extra percussion has a real nice feel & bluesy folksy vocals really compliment it. Haven’t really dug into the lyrics yet.
Imagine if Janis Joplin or Robert Plant was a vocalist singing about one octave higher with banshee screams on this album!
I love the whole transitional flow from the main melody into the jazz rock bridge (particularly the second time through with that extra distortion effect added to Phil’s playing). The whole song reminds me of a 1980’s TV show theme too for some reason. Just a really good feel song!
