The third album under the alias of 'hyi' and I certainly hope it's not the last. After 'r is r who is r' I wasn't sure if there was anything that could be improved upon with this alias. This album proves that Ren's alias of 'hyi' may be the most emotionally driven and beautiful of the bunch. I can only hope that there will be more releases under the name of 'hyi'
I FEEL THE NEED TO TYPE IN CAPS AFTER HEARING THIS. A WEIRD AS SHIT AND FUCKED UP RIDE THROUGH PONY HELL...WHICH I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF. SO MANY GREAT AND UNDERRATED BRONY MUSICIANS FEATURED ON THIS ALBUM AND SO MANY FUN AND WEIRD/FUCKED UP AUDITORY EXPERIENCES ON HERE TOO. THIS SHIT IS FUCKIN AMAZING. P.S. I love everything Dave! and Supersaw Hoover do.
This album alone is a really great group of Post-Apocalyptic feeling Hardcore electro songs. But when you add the story that Renard has so beautifully crafted to it, it becomes a demi-masterpiece. The stark contrasting differences in these songs from their fast brutal drum heavy sections to their somewhat deceptively soft vocal parts creates an amazing juxtaposition which is sure to excite.
Everything about this album screams artistic genius. Its dark and brooding. Its quick and optimistic. Its quietly sinister. It conveys so many conflicting emotions in such a neat and non-cluttered fashion that I have to call it "art". This entire album (while sadly short) is a must buy for anyone who wants to see what modern electronic music can be when someone with passion is creating it.
Seasons is a true work of art. Not in a sense that it is beautiful but in a sense that each piece flows with its own essence and energy that perfectly harmonizes with the season its titled after. Jackle App once again amazes me at how he can create soft beautiful poppish songs that feel artfully crafted and while being heavily pony influenced, could pass off as mainstream pieces. Its a must buy if you are a brony interested in pony music.
Jackle App's first true album release is a semi eclectic conglomeration of beautiful melodic movements played out with striking force. The album has several soft songs which blow me away everytime but still flow with the more pop feeling songs (such as "My Destiny is a Rock") This is an amazing album for anyone who wants pony music that doesn't beat you over the head with how pony it is.
