Don't Forget Me Don't Forget Me
My favorite LP from RPG. So full of mood, emotion, and depth. Two exceptional covers with Don't Forget Me and Cheap Trick's Southern Girls that they completely make their own. Every time I play this record in a group setting everyone goes quiet and starts asking me who it is. I wish RPG would come back into full swing. High Loathsome seems like it's just the start of something timeless.

    Nightbreed Nightbreed
Good old fashioned heavy bluesy psych doom without any pretense. Sounds a lot like Windhand, which sounds a lot like Electric Wizard with female vocals. But that's pretty much the territory with this genre. Not a negative critique, just an observation. If you like that stuff, you will love this band. The colored vinyl looks fantastic, with killer gatefold packaging. Solid stuff.

Purification By Fire Purification By Fire
I love Holy Serpent's take on the heavy doomy/stoner/grunge genres. The higher register, melodic vocals soar over the top of swirling, heavy walls of sound—creating a sound that is both familiar and uniquely interpretive. For me, it's the vocals and that dynamic quality in the songs that keeps me coming back to them, gives them a bit of an edge, and separates them from the pack of cookie-cutter stoner-doom bands out there. Temples is definitely a step forward from the s/t. Keep it up guys!
