End Terrain is Locrian's heaviest and yet most melodic album. It contains everything that they have done before, including synth-based krautrock, metal with ferocious drumming, noise, drone, and prog, but all these elements work seamlessly with one another to create a cohesive song-based album. As far as how this differs from their prior work, in some parts, they go full "Crimson" prog, and they are really good at it. This is an excellent addition to Locrian's already excellent catalog!
