Alucidnation keep getting better and better - slowly but surely. It’s part of the massive pleasure of listening to Bruce’s music over the years (about 20 now, but I’m not counting), the way each record maintains his distinctive sound, at once organic and electronic, intimate and distant, and yet carries it forward into new territory. Mellifluous marks a notable evolution in that it is more vocal, more openly emotive, and gently retro. It’s a quiet masterpiece, well named and perfectly executed.

What a fantastic record, so beautifully played and produced. One to sit proudly alongside Vikingur Olafsson’s Piano Works. I would love more in this vein. 💕
