  1. The House Of Sound
    by Joe Guido Welsh
    Paperback Kafka Paperback Kafka
Once again, Joe Guido Welsh has written and produced a collection of rock gems. As always, he brings in topnotch players to augment his own multi-instrumental playing and singing. It may be his best collection of songs, and that's saying a lot. But the icing on the cake is the addition of KC's Jordan Smith on vocals. One of my favorite albums of the past five years for sure.

  6. Exile In Hooterville
    by Joe Guido Welsh
I've been a fan of Joe's work since he was a cornerstone of the Kansas City music scene in the 1980's. This is Joe Guido Welsh at his angriest, but it also thoughful, wistful and packed with with great playing, killer arrangements and artful song craftsmanship. One of my favorites right now.
