  1. Cold Dark Nights
    by Sam Phillips
It Doesn't Feel Like Christmas It Doesn't Feel Like Christmas
This is an absolutely lovely, melancholy Christmas album. Sam Phillips is an Artist with a capital A, and her music is a Treasure. Her entire back catalog is worth every second of your time: great indie, power pop, Americana, heart-melting harmonies—whatever—she's a unique musician and nobody else sounds like Sam Phillips.
  2. Micropenas
    by Mar Muerto
    III III
Mar Muerto is music to shout the stars out of the sky, and pull the moon into the sea. Gorgeous dark, post-punk melodies infused with the phantoms of Latin America. Their performance on Sesiones de Sofa (find it on their Youtube channel) is astonishingly beautiful and powerful. Man, so good!
  3. Todo va hacia el mar
    by Fin del Mundo
    El incendio El incendio
Such an amazing band! Listening to this double-EP feels like discovering your new favorite band at a time in your life when you need them the most (and may not even know it). Like the 1st time you heard Chronic Town, or Loveless: you're gonna be listening to this band in 25 years & still hearing something new in every note.
  4. Las Ligas Menores
    by Las Ligas Menores
    A 1200 km A 1200 km
The band blends a lot of great sounds—lo-fi, shoegaze, indie rock, Krautrock—with a Stereolab-like coolness, but there's no one else quite like them.
  5. Polgar 3
    by Polgar 3
  6. Isla de Oro
    by Mi Amigo Invencible
    Impecable Impecable
Great band, great sound, great musicianship. Found them from their KEXP performance & they are a joy to watch & listen to. Hope I get to see them live sometime, & I can't wait to hear what they do next.
  7. La ciudad que dejamos
    by Fin del Mundo
El próximo verano El próximo verano
Gorgeous music from Fin del Mundo. Combining elements of shoegaze, dream-pop, art-rock, and noise-rock, they make something new, cool, and mesmerizing.
  8. Fin del Mundo
    by Fin del Mundo
    La noche La noche
Sparkling music from Fin del Mundo, who combine beautiful vocal harmonies with elements of dream-pop, noise-rock, shoegaze, and more to make really exciting songs. Listening to this EP feels like discovering your new favorite band at a time in your life when you need them the most (and may not even know it). Like the 1st time you heard Chronic Town, or Loveless, etc.
