  4. A Different Dream
by Key Of David (featuring Phil Keaggy)
Beautiful music. Laid back. First class musicianship. Lyrically speaks of that living relationship with Jesus Christ. Scripturally astute. Longing, especially the songs that anticipate heaven.

Emotionally vibrant vocal, enhanced by the instruments, particularly Keaggy's guitar.

Favourite track "Bring it to me" Encourages prayer. Superimposes the sufferings of Christ on the believers' painful experiences, thereby showing He is our High Priest who understands. Powerfully mirrored by the music.

    Vermillion Strands Vermillion Strands
Vermillion Strands is a beautifully haunting song. The melody is strong with melancholy feeling and a lilting laid back rhythm. At first hearing the piece sounds simple but in reality there is much subtle variation here. The guitar phrasing is exquisite; acoustic guitar maintains the melody- creating a sense of space- while electric guitar and vocals interweave. The cumulative effect is one of yearning; the foretaste of heaven that CS Lewis identifies with encountering beauty on earth. Wonderful
  11. Majesty & Wonder

Flight Into Egypt Flight Into Egypt
Ironically I have only just bought this collection now that Christmas is over for 2022! Listening here to so many familiar melodies, but beautifully reworked through Phil's playing and the full backing of an orchestra is simply delightful. it's difficult to pick out tracks, but 'Silent Night', 'Coventry Carol' and 'O come o come Emmanuel' are hauntingly atmospheric.
Being a bit of a rocker at heart I enjoy 'Flight into Egypt' which has a catchy riff and the rock guitar feel of earlier albums.
