Let Me Drive Let Me Drive
I've found myself drawn back to Hologram every day since I bought it. 'Two-Way Mirror' opens with what you might call 'textbook' Amplifier, but things after that get a little more diverse, with Sweet Perfume showing off their 'weird' side a little! (3.13). I have to mention that I'm absolutely loving the beautiful intro to Hologram, and before that, Sweet Perfume has a lovely outro. Let Me Drive & Gargantuan (part one) end this short-but-sweet outing on a high with its two strongest tracks.

Amazing post-metal. Got here via Blackshape's (check them out if you've not heard their amazing debut and if you like Coastlands!) recommendations on their BC page! 2.18 - 2.35 of Dead Friends has become one of my favourite ever PR 'moments'!

    Gnosis Gnosis
Heavy. Heavy as **** in fact. Absolutely love it. This kind of music shouldn't be ruined by screaming vocals, which it often is elsewhere. The production values here are insane; the guitars feel like they're ripping through my car's speakers and the bass sears through your very bones. Gnosis and Vlastimil's breakdowns will satisfy you forever if you crave sheer, unrelenting heaviness
  19. Atoms Unfurling
    by Mountainscape
    Awakening Awakening
If I'm being perhaps overly critical, it's a touch weaker than their debut effort, which I adore, BUT there is so much to love here, from the atmospheric intro to Atoms, the emotional rollercoaster of Solice, to the building climax of Earthpulse, to the soaring guitars from 5.13 of Awakening, which would sound amazing in a stadium, if only post bands were popular enough to get to play them! These guys make the music *they* want to hear, and the results are amazing; keep it up!

For Some, Peace Never Comes For Some, Peace Never Comes
Tied with Russian Circles for my favourite post rock album of the year. Atmospheric, layered, uplifting and driven music. The first couple of minutes of For Some, Peace Never Comes is everything I want in a post rock intro, and the rest of it is incredible too. I hope that these guys tour the south of the UK one day...
