andy really has his own sound. between the more energetic outings of wpe & as a sketch pad, the comforting intimacy of his solo stuff/nurse m., etc. is a clear personality that's thoughtful and endearing - this record, imo, is where it's at its most potent. the lofi sound isn't another worn-out attempt to sound diy, but instead feels like a unique blanket which lays beautifully with the tenderness of the guitars and vocals.i love this record, it's as if he's playing to you personally. thank you
