  2. Bugaboo (collaboration with Fat Pockets)
    by Skiprope Opus
    00:00/00:00
Together with the producer "Fat pockets" Skiprope Opus have further polished their highly unique style of 1920 Jazz, Lofi and Avantgarde. When have you heard a Swing-drumset from the left and a piano from the right? When have you heard the last time vocals, which sound like the Comedian Harmonists? A fingersnap-break?
    Highly recommended

  3. Hail To The Sun
    by Loft

    Kraken Kraken
This album, which I received as a gift, throws me back to the 90s, when bands like Soundgarden modernised the old Black Sabbath-formula. On the other hand I think on classic american 80s Metal a la Armored Saint. Loft is gifted with one amazing singer and he reminds me on people like John Bush and Chris Cornell. who died too early this year. A very strong offering and highly recommende
  4. Yet another love story
    by Milana
    00:00/00:00
    Love Love
Milana's newest album covers all aspects of relationship, from the anticipation to true love and it seems logical, that "Love" is placed at the end of this album, because the true love develops over time and has to stand also some problems like "Fear", "Disgust" and even "Anger". All these moods are filled with inspired themes and improvisations, the style (while highly influenced by Jazz) also touches classical music and Pop. A feast for the ears and a convincing concept-album

An intense voice is surrounding you. Acoustic guitars mixed with some sublime electrics, cool Tremolo-effects, the right soundtrack for "From dusk til dawn VII"
  7. The Darkness of Error
    by Gordon Midgley
    00:00/00:00
The Darkness Of Error The Darkness Of Error
Multi-instrumentalist Gordon Midgley offers here a wide range of guitar-based compositions. If you are a fan of the edgy progressive Rock of early King Crimson (Think on the "Red"-album) you must listen to "The darkness of error", very Frippesk, but there are also peaceful shimmering guitar-arpeggios ("Last letter") free-floating ambient-textures ("Old good days") and all is created with the guitar, just the opening track ("Preemptive retaliation") features a synth-line with heavy drums.

    Vinex-herder blues Vinex-herder blues
I call this high quality acoustic Folk-Rock. Bas Kooman teams up with some amazing musicians and because you hear only real instruments including the drums the music and performance gets an authority, which can be not achieved with samples. Sometimes I have to think on Sting while listening, so I say: This is the Sting from the Netherlands

    No Return? No Return?
Take ingredients of classic 70s Prog, particularily of King Crimson and YES, stir this with an atypical Prog-singer with a rocking edge and an amazing talent for dramatic climax, shake it with a gothic story in the tradition of Poe and E.T.A Hoffmann, add at last a splash of audio-drama and clever arranged instrumental parts and you get an album, which will attract all, which still think, that Progressive Rock is not Progressive Metal.
