    Listen/Image is a beautiful "interrogation" of experience (to put it in the artist's own words)! Blended moody guitar swirls mixed with whispered negotiations to the world at large make this record ring with truth. I really dig the artist experimentation going on in tracks like "Holding it Together". Just a little toe dip into the waters of freak folk. My fave :)

    As someone who grew up minutes away from the Red River I approve this album! Dank in nature, beautiful trickles of folk line "Goblins". Soon it becomes a steady rain of wonderful gothic imagery. Love the less traditional beatnik approach to Scarborough Fair. Killer record!

    What a sturdy compilation. Really impressed with what the Halifax folk scene has to offer here. Nifty instrumentals, hearty songwriting and I've heard they even have some spoken word artists in their collective. Next installment should also be stellar!

    I saw a vid of Quill Pen Gallery (QPG) playing what looked like a clarinet into a guitar pickup live and was hooked instantly! Luxury Pressure is an emotive and experimental release! At times it's proggy, classical and even traces of heart warming folk punk runs thru this record. It's a great result of QPG's mastering of instruments, recording and songwriting. Can't wait to hear what's next!
