  8. Marshmallow
    by Ri'h
I don't know what I like better. This tune or it's accompanying picture. Ben Affleck is a douche cannon and "Marshmallow" is pretty much in my DNA at this point.

Tip of the Blade Tip of the Blade
Ravens Moreland's debut is plodding and heavy not too unlike the best 90's pummeling grunge era indie rock stylistically a la Melvins (the drums and bass mostly), God and Texas, Hammerhead, early Helmet, Bomb, etc.

Along with the heavy riffs the vocals and lyrics somewhat set it apart from the typical guitar, bass & drums fare.
  13. Black Ocean
    by Ravens Moreland
  14. Candy Bad and Pretty Things
    by Ravens Moreland
    Secret Vice Secret Vice
More heavy rock not unlike the first two Ravens Moreland releases. Slightly more dance beats, new wave action and keyboards layered to perfection.
  15. The Dirt on You
    by Ravens Moreland
Scene of a Crime Scene of a Crime
Guitars not only have more layers with effects added but Raven's M. actually employs more lead guitar this time around as the opening tune "Voodoo Rattle Snake"exemplifies.

Less keyboards on this album than it's surrounding releases.
Likewise, "Super Psychedelic Soul" is a dance anthem if there ever was one. "Bring the Darkest Night" includes that grinding bass. What's not to love?
  16. Sin Has A Soundtrack
    by Ravens Moreland
    Apathy Apathy
As heavy as the debut this EP is slightly more song focused this time around. Slightly more hooks competing with the riffs. Keyboards used sparingly for atmosphere.

Ex-Wall of Voodoo bassist Bruce Moreland's voice is very unique (cool use of a megaphone on a couple tracks) so there is no mistaking this as another swell addition to the Raven's Moreland cannon.

Is "Frankie" the LA counterpart to Suicide's "Frankie Teardrop" in NY? You be the judge. So let's hear it for Frankie. Me like.
