claire's playing is so expressive, so intentional in regards to the structure of a given improvisation, that the listening experience is for me more akin to that of a minimalist composition or piano etude. not to say that this really SOUNDS like any of those things. her technique and attention to detail as a percussionist is given full focus and a sufficient amount of space to shine. i love this record, it's a stunningly involved collection of improvisations.

Ustav Lal's piano playing is stunning and powerful, dramatic and emotionally resonant. Here he treats us with exactly what we want to hear from him, and I couldn't be happier. One of our great living musicians right here! Hoping the raga shorts series continues, as the couple installments released are both phenomenal.

Folk guitar might never get better, or more dissonant, than is achieved by Wendy on this album. Forged in an oven operated under shaky circumstances, this object popped out in the form of a silver pearl.

Sun Ra grinds you into the pavement. The pavement in question is delicious. Euphoria ensues.
