    Linger Linger
This carries you away just like a great film, book, or...piece of music does. It all fits together beautifully and definitely repays repeated listening. Dreamlike but more than just dream pop (not that there's anything wrong with that anyway), hits hard at times too.
Just discovering this in 2021 and looking forward to slowly uncovering the rest of this band's work.

To Be Rich (Should Be A Crime) To Be Rich (Should Be A Crime)
I bought this for the song To Be Rich but what a lovely surprise to find a whole album of great, intriguing and moving songs. I don't know the original CD so can't say how this differs from it but I can say the arrangements sound good to me and the overall sound of these recording is very good. Wish I'd heard of Jeb Loy Nichols when he was in London I'd love to have seen him play live.

Road To Slavery - Alton Ellis Road To Slavery - Alton Ellis
Did Alton Ellis make a bad record? I don't think so and the title song here really is up with his best for me. Perfect backing arrangement and playing (brought out further in the dub version) and a beautiful sounding recording to boot. Refrain from slavery and its mentality.
