So fleeting, yet at the same time permanent, this is truly music for the digital age. A blistering follow up to the tour de force that was LokiSphere(Part One), Mr. Bierman goes from strength to strength in this dawless, songless, limitless jam series. Razor sharp melodies, tough basslines, chord stacked riffs, it bristles with both tension and optimism. 10/10. Bravo.
  10. B-52

These breakbeats are SO TOUGH. I mean, these are the Manny Pacquiao of breakbeats. These breakbeats are like Royce Gracie. Listening to them is like fighting Israel Adesanya. The best bit is definitely the final, emphatic half time outro. Possibly the most emphatic outro ever. Please release this on vinyl, I want two copies to beat juggle. Razor sharp basslines - watch out you don't get cut, listeners.
  11. Lokisphere (Part One)
    by Dark Arps
Every time I want to listen to an hour of DAWless synth noodling, Lokisphere is my go to jam. Unshackled by structure and refinement, the raw tension mixed with optimism runs wild, overwhelming and immersing the listener in razor sharp melodies. A work worthy of Hans Zimmer or Vangelis, if only they had the courage and improvisational ferocity of Dark Arps.

A stunning musical accomplishment, this album is the "Empire Strikes Back" to the "Star Wars" of "Broken Promises". Going from strength to strength, Mr. Bierman's new imprint represents a culmination of nearly 20 years of synthesizer collecting. In a revelation as big as "Luke, I am your father", Dark Arps winds these songs like cables around an AT-AT and makes his trench run for the culture. Great shot, kid, that was one in a million.

    The Wheel The Wheel
This is peak Dark Arps, pretty much the best Dark Arps song. Everything since then has been trying to capture the special magic of this release. The other stuff is still good, hell, we love it, but this EP is his Led Zeppelin IV. This is his Sheet One. This is Blood Sugar Sex Magick. This is the Chipmunk's Christmas album. Amazed this release didn't immediately lead to a world tour or a Juno. Definitely an overlooked masterpiece worth another listen.
  18. Broken Promise EP
    by Dark Arps
Dark Arps never disappoints...I'm in love with this captivating collection of tracks. Quirky, and eclectic, yet also playful and bold, this is release is compelling from the first notes.
  19. Lokisphere (Part Three)
    by Dark Arps
    Lokisphere 3.3 Lokisphere 3.3
Anyone who made it through Lokisphere One and Two knows that Lokisphere Part Three brings more of the same magic. The immediacy of this music, unconstrained by song structure or music theory hints at the creation of an entire new genre. At times with the whirling complexity of a free jazz orchestra and other times with the innocence and purity of a toddler hitting random keys on a piano, this tour de force shows if you have enough hardware and courage you can make something that lasts forever.
  20. Give Some Back EP
    by Dark Arps
    Conspiracy Buff Conspiracy Buff
This album really guided me through some dark moments, yet they were somehow simultaneously uplifting. Rife with tension and optimism, I found the synth melodies to be searing. The only real source of trepidation here is the otherworldly vocal missives. A forgotten treasure, a hidden gem, loved by few but oh so deeply.
