The Feminists catapult a gypsy influenced rock and roll wall of sound. Having blow my mind live, 'Hungry For Love' allows them to strengthen their foundation in the Berlin party rock scene and hopefully beyond. With a decaying glamour aesthetic, their Deep Purple hammond organ soaked stoner boogie takes dinosaur rock and re-invigorates it with fuzz and filth. It's that stance of friendly defiance and unbridled creativity that makes this record an ecstatic experience.

This recording is a massive comfort to me. Through hearing it I can share that joy of making music that shines through in each track, the enlightenment of distantly structured social collaboration, a documentation of truth expressed through the divine emotional struggle of shamanistic creative practice. The piano concerto is breathtaking, and will hopefully highlight to someone other than myself that lurking in the cracks of society, there are still underground pockets of unpretentious genius.
