  3. The Art Trip
by Alan Barnes Craig Milverton Al Swainger Nick Millward
Tin Tin Deo Tin Tin Deo
Alan Barnes'tribute to the great Art Pepper is absolutely on point. Wonderful playing throughout, Alan is up there with anyone on the planet on alto. Craig Milverton on piano is rather tasty too.

It's all pretty good, I could have chosen pretty much any track as a favourite. There's really nothing to dislike about this beautifully played, produced and recorded album.
  4. BOOM BOOM BOOM!
    by Moodymanc
BOOM BOOM BOOM! (Original mix) BOOM BOOM BOOM! (Original mix)
MoodyManc a.k.a Danny Ward is a great drummer and percussionist, maybe that's why is mixes sound so musical. The drum groove on this is killing. Say no more.
  5. Positive Vibes
    by D.C.R.
love ths old school funk vibe! vocals are sweet, takes me back to my old days in London! thanks guys!
  6. Tips
    by Stalebred Scottie
    Alabama Blues Alabama Blues
I played clarinet with Scottie regularly when I was in New Orleans. We used to block Frenchman Street up playing for tourists. This album is after he suffered a devastating accident which required brain surgery. I since heard that he had a further accident in California and cannot play or sing anymore. He's a shadow of his former self on this album, but you can still hear his thing. Godspeed Scottie.
  7. here now
    by Sharon Coates
Got It All Got It All
Easy going country rock, great writing and production . I like Sharon's simple vocal approach. Got It All has a great melody line.
  8. NIX
    by Nick Harper
Beauty Came First Beauty Came First
Nick! How is this guy not world famous? I wandered into Bunjies (now long gone) in London's West End one evening in about 1994 and heard Nick for the first time. He'd just started his career, after working in a wine shop. I was transfixed, and it was him made me want to be a singer songwriter.

Anyway, I saw hime a bunch more times while I was in the UK. He's an incredible musican and artist. If you like the whole Brit singer-songwriter style, check out Nick if you didn't already.
  9. The Sweet Shel Suite: Music Inspired By Shel Silverstein
    by Chad Eby
    Falling Up Falling Up
Angular, cool modern jazz with a dry, witty feel. I like the head to Falling Up. Chad could stretch out a little more!
  10. New Business
    by Chad Eby
I Don't Stand A Ghost Of A Chance With You I Don't Stand A Ghost Of A Chance With You
Great stuff throughout. I enjoy Chad's dry, clear tone on tenor on this record, and "I Don't Stand a Ghost Of A Chance" on soprano is great. The bluesy opening to the TDH Suite is very cool too. High quality jazz.
  11. Clarinetwork Live at the Village Vanguard
    by Anat Cohen
Sweet Georgia Brown Sweet Georgia Brown
Anat's mastery of clarinet is well known, and she is on fine form here. Frankly, I just wish I could play half as well as this! Stellar stuff, she is right up there amongst clarinet players. Adventurous, swinging, virtuosic and fiery.

(Lullaby Of The Leaves is perhaps my favourite, but for some reason it didn't show up in the track list.)
