This e.p. has some seriously righteous guitar playing. There's a Scotty Moore "Mystery Train" feel on Blow for Blow, but this track has something else entirely magical. A weird tuning, an almost Spanish feel and a great lyric. Great vocals complete the package.
Can't pick one track. It's more of a sensorium start to finish. As always, Mogwai seem to set the moods, convey the tonality and capture every emotion. I felt joy, euphoria, sadness, longing and much more. I fucking love you guys.
There is music on this album I only dreamt I would ever hear. It is unique in a world of musical interplay. This album was a major force in my change as a musician and the way I now wish to proceed.
