I adored Kostnatění at first listen to Oheň hoří tam, kde padl, both for its engagement with xenharmony in the form of Turkish makamat/scales and its distinctly raw yet nonabrasive sound.
Úpal takes the experimentation even further with African folk, punky noise rock, and even autotuned vocals, yet contrasts its disonant microtonal harmonies and gritty experimentation with more open, consonant sections to result in the most expressive metal I've heard to date. An instant buy for me.
