    Snowy Morning Snowy Morning
This beautiful album entered my life around 2011 and ever since it’s been entering my listening rotation when December rolls around and the holiday that also marks my birth approaches. It’s such a cozy listen in headphones or on my or my best friend’s sounsystems with morning coffee, so meditative and soothing. This is what I think of when I think of Christmas music. The intimate, hushed and huddled warmth of those close to you amid the swirling cold.

    So Excited So Excited
These songs are incredibly catchy, have immense endearing charm, and are played with such apparent and heartfelt emotion. This hasn’t left rotation since it dropped and I don’t think it will for the foreseeable future. Such a fun album to either listen all the way through or just play the hits from whenever you need a pick-me-up. It’s everything I loved about the previous iteration of this band heightened by experience.
  9. Bewilderment
    by Pale Jay
By The Lake By The Lake
The absolutely seamless flow of this record makes it so easy to just sit back and take the whole thing in, it’s like floating down a gentle river on a perfect day; it’s such a soothing and beautiful album. Fantastic work by Jay and all the other immensely talented souls involved.

    Other Moons Other Moons
One of my favorite musical recordings of all time, hands-down. An absolutely beautiful set of renditions of some of Pile’s best songs, but done in such a way to where the emotional impact of them is heightened to astronomical degrees while simultaneously making them incredibly warm, human and comforting. What Rick managed to do with these one-man sets is truly an accomplishment he should be proud of. The vinyl of this I have is one of my most prized possessions for the reasons listed above.

The Skin and The Glove The Skin and The Glove
I sincerely hope this heralds some new directions for the band’s sound going forward, because the addition of Mona D’s vocals in harmony with Deb’s on Skin and the Glove and that beautiful 12-string really do make this something very special for them. This is already fantastic but if they can elaborate and expand from here they’ll really potentially be making some of the best Shoegaze music ever recorded.
  17. Dreamkiller
    by Sumerlands
Edge of the Knife Edge of the Knife
An absolutely flawless example of modern Heavy Metal; the vocals are excellent, the riffs don’t stop, the solos are crazy and the percussion slams! Very well produced, also! Can’t find a single thing I don’t love about it after several listens, if you’re looking for more melodic and classically Heavy stuff or have appreciation for the harder side of Power Metal, don’t miss out on this!
  18. Vi/deo
    by Xeno & Oaklander
    Technicolor Technicolor
Overflowing with passionate emotion, crafted and composed meticulously and precisely, and executed flawlessly. Vi/deo is some of X&O's finest work to date.
  19. Gathering Swans
    by Choir Boy
    Toxic Eye Toxic Eye
This is one of the most beautiful and theatrical Post-Punk records of the modern era, I love Adam's voice and the rest of the band does a wonderful job creating gorgeous soundscapes for it to soar over.
  20. No Dark/No Light
    by Lilac Shadows
    Fever Pitch Fever Pitch
This album is beautiful. It captures so many moods so perfectly from front to back, and the instrumentation is stellar. Fantastic work!
