Here To Stay Here To Stay
A solid performance by New Order.
I almost prefer their live albums as they play harder and faster. This version of Here to Stay is the best one I've heard recorded.

  13. Live at Town Hall Party 1958
    by Wanda Jackson
Hard Headed Woman Hard Headed Woman
    This album is amazing!

I'm stealing this comment from Youtube that summed up how this performance might have been received at the time it was recorded in 1958:

"The softspoken recitation before this sells everything perfectly. Imagine you are about to hear this in person for the very first time. A quiet shy brunette with a plain guitar strolls onto stage with her backup band in The Fifties. And becomes The Queen Of Rockabilly from the first tumultuous note that she sings."

    Goodnight Irene Goodnight Irene
A real legend of the blues. You can see how much Lead Belly influenced so many areas of music later in the 20th century beyond the obvious covers of his classic songs.

This album has a great selection of his music including a bunch I had never heard until I found this!
  17. 8 Bit Mixtape #3: Post-Punk

Great lofi versions of some supreme classics. I swear it might be 1996 again listening to midis on my PC speaker! Love it.

What a ride! This album might be a challenging listen for some, but I'm really enjoying it.

I usually hesitate to say what inspired an artist, but this is almost like LORN, Joy Division and Trent Reznor had a baby called No-oN.
