Kevin Montgomery is simply the best at this sort of nostalgic dream-like synth. The man is prolific, putting out quality album after album of solid gold with the most authentic feel. His music is transcendent of the 1980s but emboldens a feeling of future well being as well as past glory.
Well on the way to purchasing all his albums, one at a time.

She Wakes Up the Night She Wakes Up the Night
She Wakes Up The Night is most likely my favorite Sellorekt/LA Dreams track of all.
Picture a lonely teenager sitting in their bedroom, on their bed. The year is 1983, the phone is there on the bed with them, but he or she, the one they love, isn't calling. But there's hope, always hope.
K Montgomery is the perfect producer of this retro 80s style of music. No one comes even close.

Early Attrition, when they were still raw, unfocused, chaotic, wildly experimental, completely unlike any other music, is not only my favorite incarnation of Attrition, but also my favorite music ever recorded.
If you like industrial, no wave and DIY punk, all early Attrition recordings and shows are worth owning.
Confession: I skip Vigil and Mr Toma when I play this in my car. Tracks 2 through 7 work so perfectly together that it presents this album in a new way.
