This one needed four or five days of replays before I could appreciate it. It’s pleasingly unique (as expected), but without epic jams or guitar solos. The songs bubble but never quite boil the way their best do. The keyboards and drums are intriguing. Another element I deeply miss are the horns: sadly keys tend to iron them out as popularity rises.
The recording quality itself is stunning! It’s a headphone album.
