I purchased this album after my second listen. Liked it so much I bought a copy for my daughter who is a music teacher and composer. As she says, every song sounds like a different band. Fantastic stuff.
The entire album is an inspired blend of styles and genres. And 'Turtles All The Way Down"; what on earth does that mean? I've no idea, but I absolutely love it.
This album paints a wonderful series of musical portraits. The sad stories of people from all walks of life who were swallowed up by the American Civil War are beautifully composed and and performed.
