Listening to this album is like being in the room while someone figures it out. It's intimate, yes, but there is a sense of something amazing happening, of knowing the songs will be worked over and iterated upon, but you are there at their beginnings, hearing them be born. It's addictive, really. I find myself returning to this album when I myself am feeling creatively stuck, allowing myself a moment to bask in the process of someone else, so I can be inspired to do my own.
