It would be easy to just describe this album as experimental black metal, but it's so much more. I hear doom, noise rock, post metal and everything in between. Most impressive of all, Wells Valley combine all of these influences in a completely coherent way and in a style of their own, topped off by an organic production job that makes most metal albums pale in comparison.
