I can't get enough of his album. I've been listening to Chaz's work since '09 and this brings me right back to high school. But his sound is now cleaner, with better vocals, a little twang, and Chaz's classic ear for instrumentation and production.
In the heady days of chillwave, I listened to almost all of it. This album is the only thing that stuck; and it's been stuck for over a decade now. This album is filled with short hazy tender summer songs that I can't get out of my head.
This is the epitome of bedroom teenage ballads. I mean that in the best possible way. I was struck the second I heard this album, and find myself forever coming back to it. It's over in 15 minutes, then I find I need it all over again.
Radiator Hospital once again make a beautiful space that feels raw, sad, hopefully, and endlessly catchy–– all wrapped into one seamless package called Nothin' In My Eyes.
My de facto airplane sleep album. Only Flowering Jungle can sooth me enough to fall asleep smushed in some corner of that big thundering metal box in the sky.
