    Old Friends Old Friends
instantly relatable, earning my trust within the first 30 seconds of the first song. The vocals are mesmerizing in such an odd way. As though the kid next door you thought wasn't really talented at anything became the lead singer of a band. A really cool band at that. The lyrical content is the bread and butter for me. I compare Pinegrove's approach to the likes of The Hold Steady in a huge way. Not the music, but the approach with the lyrics. Craig Finn's little brother or something?

  3. Mercury
    by The Once-ler
    track 00:00/00:00
This track is my go to song on this album; there's a certain part of me that feels that this should actually be the opening track of the album however The Once-ler knows what he's doing and I don't second guess any of his production decisions. In conclusion this is an album. Not a single oriented record that shoots for a "big cross-over hit". "Before me" is consistent through and through. It really gives a glimpse in to the world of the very talented young Once-ler and I look forward to hearing a sophomore effort
  4. Before Me

I had to revise my previous comment. This is a great record. Amazing lyrical talent and phenomenal production! I hope the once-ler hits us with more than one release!

    Milo Milo
one of those rare rarities of sorts; if that makes any sense. The entire album sounds like something you've heard before and loved before but can't exactly locate the precise location or memory and it provokes a nostalgic overwhelmingness. Lyrics are SO WELL written and the overall vocal approach is what sets this band a part from a million other indie rock bands across the nation.Key lyric: "Don't you worry while he's using, it just helps everything slow"-R crlsscllctive.bandcamp.com

    Attention / Bleary-Eye-d Blue Attention / Bleary-Eye-d Blue
Blear-Eye-d Blue is one of my favorite songs on "Slingshot to Heaven," however the stripped down acoustic blue helps to let the lyrics ring through rather than drowned out by a stern kick drum.

    Prozac Rock Prozac Rock
Rot gut is a phenomenal record that I feel is and was overlooked. These songs are amazing on two levels; heavy and stripped down acoustic style. For me, that's how strong I know a song is: by how it stands up to being played alone on an acoustic guitar:

Freak Flight Speed Freak Flight Speed
This is one of my top 3 Margot songs ever. Again, I hear the "just Richard and his guitar" version, and essentially hear the song in a entire new light. Emotional at times and resentful at others; Richard Edwards sings what a lot of times I want to say to the world and my friends.

  9. Things You Shouldn't Do
by Margo and the Nuclear So & So's
    track 00:00/00:00
this is kind of a secret song. Or at least it feels that way if your an obsessive Margot fan that basically will dig nearly anything Richard Edwards releases. I bought it though.

Absolutely intoxicating and completely captivating. Very rarely does a collection of sounds such as this cross our path in this lifetime, however when it does we remember it for a lifetime. This is an EP that has the capacity to change the way you look at the world. It seeps in your bones, your memories, and your heart. For me this is one of those albums that will most likely never grow old. Holding a forever timeless nostalgic that will be obsessed over for years to come.

This album truly has that "instant timeless classic" feel to it. During a time when Soundcloud is filled with yet another trap electronica track; HOME goes back to the future. Every track is reminiscent of a childhood memory for me; evoking nostalgic memories of being an 80s baby. HOME is "The Strokes" of electronica right now and everyone loves that warm sound!
