I adore this EP so much. The soundscape is beautifully ethereal, an evocative tide of tones and melodies halfway between Vangelis and Mark Knopfler. PC LOVE LETTER invokes the feeling of a retro future laden in promise and wonder, and more than anything makes me want to write. I’ve been enchanted with it ever since it came out, and wait on pins and needles for Esselfortium’s next work!
  13. Back to Saturn X OST Vol. 1

Even though the trilogy isn't yet completed, BTSX is undoubtedly one of the most capable and influential Doom community projects of the modern era. A large part of the tailored aesthetic of BTSX is its melodic, complex soundtrack. The music is at wistful, lonesome, and introspective. A more perfect musical expression of BTSX's colorful and haunting environs I cannot imagine, not to mention how outright listenable each track is. Overall just a great soundtrack.

What an awesome soundtrack. A great mixture of modern, urban and hip musical stylings with an undeniably charming oldschool videogame feel and instrument choice. The mastery of varying soundscapes, complex rhythms, excellent recurring motifs, and raw toe-tapping catchiness makes this one of my favorite videogame soundtracks to just turn on and jam out to.

One of the greatest atmospheric soundtracks of all time, unrelentingly forlorn and imposing, refusing to bow to the comforting reason of tunefulness and melody. Truly desolate and densely emotive without losing an ounce of its listenable qualities.

A truly excellent soundtrack whose electro-meso-American sensibilities pair perfectly with the unique atmosphere of the level set. More than worth the price.
