Still have a huge soft spot for my intro to this band. I love how Joe's songwriting has evolved over time (Spread the Feeling was my favorite album of 2019), but there's something about the overall feel of this record - it's like a soft, melodic pillow of sadness, defiance, resignation, regret that's a complete joy to listen to all the way through.
