part of me wants to say i wish more bands sounded like this, but those other bands probably wouldn't approach the level of mastery on display here.

i like it when the guitars go skroink. gee whiz, i dunno. there's like, optimistically, maybe six bands left in any hemisphere you'd care to name that have even a passing interest in hurting your feelings, and the majority thereof have unpronounceable names and are peddling 7"s made of sandpaper & calling it "harsh noise." what happened to craft, i ask you. what happened to workmanship and dedication. anyway here are some songs the last musician worth a damn recorded in his kitchen or something.

it strikes me that if a band, one "man" or otherwise, is in the habit of writing uniformly excellent material, recording it, and releasing it for us jerks to consume, the least one could do is contribute a couple lousy american dollars, or whatever ridiculous currency exchange the UK is currently refusing to participate in. actually the least is probably writing bandcamp reviews. as if anyone would bother.

if stewart lee had a band and an even bigger chip on his shoulder, he'd probably be shit, but he'd also probably try very hard to mimic the sound of a christian fitness record.
