  1. COSMIC MEMORIES 3
    by HUBRID
  2. Prophets
    by Meteor
Saints and Demons Saints and Demons
Best release I have ever heard from Meteor. AOTY material here. Can’t stop listening to this. Reminiscent of early Perturbator but updated and unique without being derivative and boring.
  3. Sidewalk Misery
    by SLIME
    Yall Trippin Yall Trippin
Goes hard af. Take my money.
  4. ROAD OF FEAR
    by HUBRID
WARNING (Ft SHRED KRUEGER ) WARNING (Ft SHRED KRUEGER )
    Best HUBRID ever!
Could not disagree more with palehorse666.
Best albums by HUBRID are Cosmic Memories, Cosmic Memories 2, the Chillwave, and Culta De La Machine. And this album fits in right at the top. In fact, this HUBRIDs signature sound that keeps me coming back for more. Mid-tempo, guitar and distortion heavy, dark, sega genesis-wave. Super catchy and memorable. Happy AF this dropped.
  5. Memories of 2083 Unicorn Edition
    by Lone Runner
Big City Nights Big City Nights
Lone Runner is by far the most underrated artist in this genre. Check out the entire catalog. This album delivers some juicy neon vibes and atmospheric dystopian melancholy while tapping into the nostalgia of a decaying megalopolis. Absolutely amazing album, might be my album of the year. Plays like a lost Ghost in the Shell / Blade Runner soundtrack. Perfection.
  6. Distance
    by Timedriver
Power Without Perception Power Without Perception
I believe “cosmic synth-vania” is an apt description of this release. Driving guitars over layers of hook laden cosmic melodies. Fans of Dynatron and Baldocaster (as I am) will love this. Non stop repeat.

Fist of the North Star movie sample and reference? Take my damn money.
  7. KTHVLLV
    by Dav Dralleon
  8. Riviera
    by L'Avenue
    Boulevard Boulevard
    Magical.

Any other lengthy review wouldn’t even come close to describing this album properly.
  9. Murphy (Remastered)
    by Slvmber
  10. Lustful Sacraments
    by PERTURBATOR
  11. Visions
    by Baldocaster
Outcome (feat. Traveler CS) Outcome (feat. Traveler CS)
Baldocaster is criminally underrated. Judging by these two tracks... This album is going to be amazing!!!
  12. FALL OV MEN
    by Dav Dralleon
    Revenant King Revenant King
This masterpiece manages to simultaneously stay true to form and evolve the iconic DD sound. Already my choice for AOTY. Sorry NikyNine.
  13. Subsystem (Album)
    by Tyconic
    Subsystem Subsystem
Definitely add this to your synthwave/retrowave collection. Straight out of your favorite 80’s soundtracks that only exist in your imagination. Consistent sound, high-quality throughout, super-catchy compositions, and slick production.
For fans of early Crockett, Tonebox, and L’Avenue.

    Banger opener here.
  14. Black Sharken
    by Niky Nine
Warr feat 6S9 Warr feat 6S9
WARR is on infinite repeat. If the rest of the album is this good, this will obviously be the best work Niky Nine has ever put out. Fire af.
Also... cannot wait for the instrumental version (hint hint).

    Edit:
With addition of Hollow Hawk to listen to, this is already album of the year material.
  15. Last Call For All Passengers
    by DAN TERMINUS
    Disfigured Disfigured
Its Dan effing Terminus. Judging by the fact I just snagged one of the last black vinyls (green was sold out already) this album does not really need a review.

It fuckin slaps. Front to back back yall.

    Do it.
  16. Chapter 2: Endless Nightmare
    by Midnight Danger
    Endless Nightmare Endless Nightmare
Waited for years for a follow-up to Malignant Force and the wait was worth it. Way better than expected! All hail the new kings of (whatever)-wave you want to classify this as. Do not sleep on this.
  17. Initiation
    by Gereon
    Breach Breach
    Instant classic.
Slowburn darksynth for anyone who enjoys Dynatron, Dav Dralleon, Niky Nine, We Are Magonia, and Cloud Battalion (albeit more down tempo and atmospheric at times minus guitars). This is right up there with best the genre has to offer and is quickly becoming as addictive as it well produced. Synth is not dead... Gereon is proof.
  18. This May Hurt A Bit
    by Bitter Branches
  19. This is our Planet now
    by Volkor X
    Atomic Dust Atomic Dust
    The best synthstrumental artist...

Edit: What this album brings is an analog “real instrumentation” feel to instrumental synth driven music. It would be lazy to label VolkorX as synthwave or any other wave because the arrangements are so layered, thoughtful, warm and tasteful. The drum arrangements are just amazing. The track Atomic Dust, is a prime example. This is a true professional at work.

A truly amazing album from what i regard to be, a truly underrated artist.
  20. Epic
    by Arpitect
    Krulos Krulos
Title of album says it all. Epic.
If you like Dynatron then this is for you. This is seriously amazing. Production is amazing. Song structure is amazing. Tempo's are amazing. Atmosphere is amazing.

Cannot wait to see more from this artist. Get this in your playlist now or regret it forever.

Oh... and there is a DinoRiders cartoon (i think) sample in there as well which pushes this to that epic level for sure.

I'm having a lot of trouble explaining how good this is... get it.
