Chaotic, sardonic and melodic in equal measure, Vetting Zoo (great title!) is a sprawling and mind-bogglingly eclectic audioscape. At times evokes the scrappy DIY of Pod-era Ween, at others the lo-fi pisstakery of early TISM, but generally uncategorisable. The stylistic breadth between, say, Soft Sands and I’ve Got My Swayze is flat out breathtaking. Who are the Secret Agents??? Rumour has it that one of the agents is a member of the royal family but nobody knows which one.
