    Folding Folding
I've been listening to Inlets constantly for 3 weeks now. Absolutely love Hum. Can't wait to check out their older stuff now. This album definitely has it's own identity, but for the sake of reference - imagine ISIS released Panopticon in the early 90s. Inlets releases in '94 as the optimal ripple of that album's influence. I say this only as a fun idea of their sound, from my perspective.
Hum - Inlets is an all time great for me, already.

    Tripolar Tripolar
As soon as I noticed the LP was actually in stock-trigger pulled. Amazing album. F.E.I. sees Intronaut more focused than ever, thanks in large part to a new drummer - who is extremely skilled. This album is right up there with H.L., IMO..which makes this an all time great for me. Also, the LP plays at 45RPM, so 33 1/3 should prove to be an epic sludge fest. Excited to give it a listen at that speed. This is also their hardest hitting piece to date. It may also be the most accessible.
  14. Nullity
    by LESSER GLOW
The Great Imitator The Great Imitator
Got to be honest, I’m still breaking this album in. I never comment my thoughts on music until I’m completely familiar - however, I’m so utterly taken by this. I first listened to The Great Imitator. As soon as it ended, I restarted it. Had to help my mind process the lead wall that just smashed it into jelly. After the 3rd repeat, I was fully prepared to go on this masterful journey that Lesser Glow has created. No regrets. You’ve got a new fan.
  15. Falling Mothership

  16. Eternal Kingdom
    by Cult of Luna
    Ghost Trail Ghost Trail
Bought CD back in 2008. The first thing that stood out for me was the undeniable “element” that they captured throughout the entire album - this requires special talent, chemistry and vision from a band. Rare. Having never read the lyrics - I typically never do, for fear of altering my own interpretations - what I get is a cursed and tragic tale of a once utopian, distant place. Something very sad happened, and it is translated from laments of the very roots of this place by way of music. LP
  17. Intrinsic
    by The Contortionist
    Anatomy Anomolies Anatomy Anomolies
Huge fan ever since I heard Feedback Loop back in 2012. Immediately picked up a copy of Exoplanet the next time I went into town. That album stayed in steady rotation for 3 weeks before I went and picked up a copy of Intrinsic. Put simply, Exoplanet was a rush - it was amazing..Intrinsic was a masterpiece. Sections of groove sprinkled throughout, guiding you through the challenging technical passages - all the while, beautifully dense synths soothe your assaulted rectum. Waiting on LP to arrive.
  18. Masana Temples
    by Kikagaku Moyo/幾何学模様
    Nazo Nazo Nazo Nazo
Oh how I long for this album in vinyl format! Such smoothness. Such warmth. Such execution. This music begs to be taken along and woven into memories. Everyone I’ve shared this album with has loved it. The music speaks far and wide. Shouting out to a fellow follower, Brian Lehmann, for his excellent taste in music. If not for him, I likely would have never stumbled upon this absolute gem!
  19. Stare Into Death And Be Still
    by Ulcerate
There is No Horizon There is No Horizon
Ulcerate possess a very unique sound. An ether creeping through a forest on a far away planet. A forest that would appear dead to those not equipped to see it's beauty. Life disguised as decay. Death's dreams, aurally incarnate. A rogue wave filled with anesthetized daggers knocks you into the most congenial coffin, and this is what you hear as you fade out with a smile.

There, I tried. All pretentiousness aside, this band kills. That guitar...wow. Heavy stuff.
  20. Dream Weapon
    by Genghis Tron
    Dream Weapon Dream Weapon
This band apparently has a knack for writing passages & melodies that get stuck in my head. Fortunately, it's been a pleasure.
The structure on the album cover seems to be tuning frequencies in and out of my brainwaves, tempting me to listen again. Upon listening, I realize how many layers were missing in my memory of the songs and how obsessed I'm becoming with assembling them.

The production doesn't sit well with small speakers FYI, and it shouldn't. Headphones. Soundsystem. Do it.
