I first heard Deserts of Traun Part 3: The Lilac Moon, about 6-7 years ago, and it took the whole idea of a conceptualized album and blew my god damn mind. It still holds up, and hearing this revitalization is spectacular. If you have a colourful imagination and a love for good music, everything Not-Dave-Murray's name is attached to will tickle your fancy.

I am very picky when it comes to this genre, and these guys nail it. There's just something about that energy of a bunch of friends just having a good time playing their instruments.

(III) Of Nothing (III) Of Nothing
This is one of those albums that takes you by surprise. You don't realize you're listening to the whole thing until it's almost over. One of the most rad things I have heard in quite a while.

    Speak Speak
Stumbled across these guys on Facebook (from Musical Mathematics) and I was instantly hooked. Love the style these guys play, but Speak stood out to me the most. I'll be showing a lot of people here in Canada these guys, who I know will enjoy.

This album is absolutely phenomenal. It has that raw feel (obviously) but the tunes are still great. Peter Rabbit gets me going all the time. Starts dark and gets happy. Great math-rock!

    No Avail No Avail
My friends' band has played with these dudes a few times, and they have been the one band to stand out from all the other bands my friends would play with. When I heard they were releasing a brand new album I knew i had to get my hands on it. Sure enough, it's a fantastic album. Hard for me to believe its a local band.

Many years ago my buddies formed a math rock group, and I always thought it was such a cool genre, and they mentioned the name Piglet numerous times. One day Anthropology Anthology was in a recommended youtube video, and after clicking it and listening 28 seconds in, I went to the bandcamp to order the CD.
