I first heard this about 9 years ago after going on a Metal Archives deep dive, then forgot about it for a very long time. It's very nice. Sounds as if it was recorded outside in the Aussie wilderness. The only real detraction imo is the electric drum kit. I'm all for electronic drums, drum machines, etc., just feel an acoustic set would've fit the vibe better. Overall, it's cool and I would recommend for fans of atmospheric black/doom.

I was wrong about this album when it came out, it might honestly be his best as Jesu. It feels so vulnerable and emotional, moreso than any of this project's past discography. It was a genuinely bold move to not use autotune on the vocals except for as an effect. You can feel the emotion in Justin's voice. Thank you for what, four decades of wonderful music? I guess it depends when you start counting. He will be in his 70s or older still reinventing the wheel.

I've loved Calyx' work since I first heard him in the Midnight Club 3 soundtrack almost 20 years ago now. He's an absolute legend. However, when I first heard his main collab project with Teebee, I didn't like the more mainstream sound. He seemingly stopped doing solo releases for a decade or so until now, and this is probably his best since the Moving Shadow days imo, even if it's not as hard or dark as it used to be. Great work, can't wait to get the vinyl someday if there will be.

Turned out better than our first split, one of my favorite collaborations. Ironically, we sourced that split along with other sounds for this. Much love.
