  14. American Football (Deluxe Edition)
    by American Football
    Honestly? Honestly?
I mean it's a classic, what can I say that hasn't already been said? This album opens the path to enjoying a wide spread of different musics and was a crucial part in developing my music taste. Paired with relateable lyrics about heartbreak and growing up, I'd say this is the essential album for anyone who gets sad sometimes and wonders why.
  15. American Football (LP2)

I Need a Drink (or Two or Three) I Need a Drink (or Two or Three)
Kinsella didn't let me down, great album. If you go in expecting LP1 then you're going to be disappointed, but going in without any expectations is a rewarding experience.
  16. Painted Shut
    by Hop Along
    Waitress Waitress
With slice of life lyrics, powerful instrumentals and just an overwhelming sense of comfort that i get from this album, theres no wonder it was one of my favorites of 2015
  17. Psychopomp
    by Japanese Breakfast
The Woman that Loves You The Woman that Loves You
This album caught me off guard by its emotional themes and surprisingly vast instrumentals. I went in not expecting anything really and left with one of my favorite albums of 2016
  18. A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings
    by Beach Slang
  19. Rain Temple
    by 2814
Inside The Sphere Inside The Sphere
if 2814 does anything well, they do an amazing job of creating an atmosphere. I think that this album is different enough from their previous album to feel like a progression in their music while at the same time having the same familiar nostalgic/dream-like atmosphere that they created before
