  1. Abducted
    by Hypocrisy
    Slippin' away Slippin' away
Well, I admit, it took some time to process the album but now I can finally say that I LOVE this album. Its atmosphere is exceptional and I like the themes of the songs.
  2. Hypocrisy
    by Hypocrisy
Disconnected Magnetic Corridors Disconnected Magnetic Corridors
Basically a perfect example of melodic death metal that is not afraid of a bit of experimentation. Don´t tell me you cannot hear some grunge influence on this album. If you cannot, you lie to yourself. It is difficult to choose one favorite track but I chosed Disconnected Magnetic Corridors because of its beautiful melancholy.
  3. Into The Abyss
    by Hypocrisy
    Deathrow Deathrow
A very different album from the previous album Hypocrisy. Less atmospheric, more brutal and aggressive. Tho on the other hand there are of course beautiful atmospheric parts so typical for Hypocrisy. Amazing experience!
  4. The Arrival
    by Hypocrisy
    Departure Departure
A timeless masterpiece! Every song is strong, there is no weak point, no useless moment. Thank you Peter and the whole band! When I hear "I stare into the eyes of eternity
I've seen what no man's ever seen", I literally explode.
  5. Virus
    by Hypocrisy
Living to Die Living to Die
Outstanding tracks, outstanding production, outstanding atmosphere. There are 11 tracks which I consider a high number (I like when albums have lesser tracks), but that's just one single issue I have with this amazing album. Well, perhaps two. Intro is pretty pointless.
  6. Worship
    by Hypocrisy
Bug In The Net Bug In The Net
It is an instant classic. Beautifully haunting harmonies, brutal growling, fantastic melodies, interesting lyrics. I am not into that conspiracy crap at all, but I am not into satanic stuff either and I still love black metal, so there is no reason to not love this masterpiece.
  7. Spellbound
    by Dismal Euphony
An underrated EP that belongs to my top EPs I have ever heard. Timeless, raw, dismal.
  8. Autumn Leaves - The Rebellion of Tides
    by Dismal Euphony
The best symphonic gothic/black metal of all times. There is just one issue - Splendid Horror ain´t a very good track. It should have been replaced with the hidden song that can be found after Splendid Horror.
  9. War Against All
    by Immortal
    Nordlandihr Nordlandihr
Fast, brutal, demonic, cold. A new Immortal classic!
  10. A Blaze In The Northern Sky (20th Anniversary Edition)
    by Darkthrone
In The Shadow Of The Horns In The Shadow Of The Horns
An essential black metal album. A masterpiece. 10/10
  11. Under A Funeral Moon (Deluxe Edition)
    by Darkthrone
To Walk The Infernal Fields To Walk The Infernal Fields
A black metal classic. A majestic album but I am not as OK with the lofi sound as on Transilvanian Hunger. Guitars sound a bit weak. But this is the only con I can say about this masterpiece.
  12. Transilvanian Hunger (20th Anniversary Edition)
    by Darkthrone
Slottet I Det Fjerne Slottet I Det Fjerne
The best black metal album ever created. Its freezing, haunting and unsettling atmosphere is as if created in the Hell itself.
  13. Panzerfaust (Deluxe Edition)
    by Darkthrone
En Vind Av Sorg En Vind Av Sorg
Brutal inhuman vocals, freezing guitar riffs, sound as if in the inside of a deadly blizzard that had never sounded colder and deader. This is a phenomenal work and the most brutal album Darkthrone has ever created.
  14. Eternal Hails......
    by Darkthrone
Artistically and musically it is an absolute gem of progressive black/doom/heavy metal. This is a new peak of Darkthrone and a well deserved 10/10.
  15. Astral Fortress
    by Darkthrone
The Sea Beneath The Seas Of The Sea The Sea Beneath The Seas Of The Sea
Like cover, like music. Comparing Astral Fortress to Eternal Hails is like comparing an average album to the music perfection. Sorry Fenriz and Nokturno, but this album feels so rushed. Impeccable Cavern of Satan, Kevorkian Times, Kolbotn, and Eon 2 sound like songs from a young band that has zero knowledge about composition, musical coherence, ideas development, etc. The songs go nowhere. Especially Eon 2 is just a mess of genres without a vision.
  16. The Great Heathen Army
    by Amon Amarth
    Heidrun Heidrun
The album is an absolute killer. It is a rare thing for me to like all songs on an album but The Great Heathen Army is one of the few. I love all the songs so it was difficult for me to choose the favorite track, but I chose Heidrun.
  17. Heidrun
    by Amon Amarth
Heidrun (Goat Remix) Heidrun (Goat Remix)
Heidrun is one of the most enjoyable and heartful death metal songs ever made!! But the Goat version is so stupid it´s genial. The most pure goat death metal ever!
