Not regretting a single dollar of the $6.66 I put down on this soundtrack. Itching to do a metal remix - Adventure Awry is basically screaming for downtuned guitars.

    Smile Smile
This is the album I listened to the most in 2014. I was slightly irritated by the vocals at first but that took only about two runs of the album to fix. Now I know every single word to Smile and try to mimic the passion and energy when singing along to it in the car - a futile endeavor. The hauntingly beautiful melodies, gnarly guitar and bass rhythms (mix is stellar!) and spot-on vocals for me personally cause a deep sense of peace and satisfaction. So glad this exists.

Of Iron and Ashes Of Iron and Ashes
What is there to say, once again a fantastic effort by Ola. From a mixing standpoint, this is in my opinion the best he ever put out. Smashing and gnarly guitars and a super tight bass, vocals that jump right at you ... Love it, my favorite album since Rejects. Has been on constant rotation for a few weeks now :)

Atmospheric, cheery and exciting. Really well composed and produced, with an incredible amount of details to discover. Music that makes you feel and think. Selenium Forest is simply amazing!

    Tapestry Tapestry
One of the few bands in this emerging modern prog metal genre that I thoroughly enjoy. Very intricate, yet catchy riffing on this EP, combined with varied and well-conceived song structures that prevent the individual tracks from feeling like inconsistent blends of riffs, as it is the case for many other bands in this genre. Tapestry really stands out for me as it carries a certain melancholy which I find incredibly heart-warming and reassuring! Love it!

    Seattle Seattle
Probably my favorite Cloudkicker release thus far. The emotional rollercoaster that is Seattle is simply beyond words; in fact, the whole album gives me a sense of melancholy, peace and fulfilment that I don't usually experience.

We're goin' in. We're going down. We're goin' in. We're going down.
The first album I listened to from Mr. Sharp. I vividly remember doing chores when I hit play on this album for the first time. Two or three tracks in, I was sitting on the floor, listening, forgetting everything around me. This was such a powerful moment and I hold this memory very, very dearly in my heart. Both this album and Fade have been accompanying me for a long time now. Meditative, thought-provoking and highly inspiring, not only for our fellow musicians.

    Dysphoria Dysphoria
I was late on this one, as I discovered Cloudkicker during the Beacons and Fade era. Quickly learned to love this album on its own merits as it is definitely one of the harder, more metal-focused albums in Ben Sharps repertoire. All the typical stylistic elements of Cloudkicker are there but the energy of these songs is different - and that's a really good thing because, yay, variety!
