Decent album. As with their animation, you can tell Brian and popcorn's styles apart: B -> atonal, abstract, empty-valleys-in-space pieces; P -> upbeat poppy stuff.

Music was apparently written to match the videos (see Killscreen interview) & doesnt work as well on its own. The opposite was true for Skylark, which is indeed a better song.

Also, B's solo stuff was way better imho, both music and video; P kinda dilutes the feeling: C3DW entertains, B made you feel things, hence a "meh" album.

    Sister Sister
Nice powerful piano jams (+ a few pointless found sound tracks?)
Focus is more on rhythm than melody & most tracks are built around almost-atonal but not dissonant right-hand improvs over steady 2-3 note figures held by the left hand, with a monolithic feel. Think of the piano fugues from tense scenes in old cartoons. Lots of variations and nuances though, so it's more varied than that. Title track sounds like Jandek right from the start, Sister is the sweet melodic number. Very enjoyable.
