    by Holden Days
    Ten Year Ten Year
Timothy literally always makes things that sound like no one else I've ever heard, and this single is just more proof. I wish I could put feelings into words even a fraction of the way he can.
  5. Para(ll)els
    by Noiya
    Empire Empire
I saw Noiya perform alongside After Gardens on Sessions In Place, and the way David and Mia traversed their sound on set was transcendent. I love what I found on this EP.
  6. Home, Like Noplace Is There
    by The Hotelier
Your Deep Rest Your Deep Rest
In a way, this album helps remind me I'm not the only person that feels how I do. Lyrically I'm incredibly resonant with this, and sonically it's so quintessential emo that it's made me rethink recording. A recommendation to anyone with a penchant for sad music.
  7. One Big Particular Loop
    by Polyenso
    Cherry Life Cherry Life
So many directions on this album! The first time I heard "Falling In Rain," I literally gasped aloud. I'm surprised this hasn't seemed to take the prog world by storm.

    In Between In Between
This EP came at a pointed time in my life, where I felt a lot of the sadness described here and sympathised a great deal. Very close to home and poignant songwriting.
  9. Separation
    by Balance and Composure
I Tore You Apart In My Head I Tore You Apart In My Head
This album was and continues to be one of the most important things I ever heard. Every so often I come back to it and scream along with "Patience," enraptured by the rawness and imperative nature of the album. Few things about this that I don't love. A landmark for me.
  10. Bigger Than Me
by Meet Me @ The Altar
    Sane Sane
This EP is so goddamn tight. Reminds me of Paramore if they were more punk. EXCELLENT writing.
  11. Basement Full of Ghosts

  12. Yes, The World Is Changing
    by After Gardens
    Too Much Too Much
Every single track of this EP goes whistling through my head on a daily basis. I watched the video for "Too Much" something like 15 times in a row. This is extremely cathartic music, and I'm thrilled to have seen it come to fruition. Spin this. You'll love it.
  13. Lousy
by Perspective, a lovely hand to hold
Those Few Words Those Few Words
This record expressed most of my frustrations during a point in my life I was dealing with for the first time in years. With the prospect of passion creating distance and continual frustration with yourself, I related a lot to this one.
  14. Autonomy
by Perspective, a lovely hand to hold
    Comeuppance Comeuppance
My introduction to a band I wouldn't recognize until I shared the stage with them in Athens, GA. Embarrassed, I realized who exactly was responsible for a song I chose to listen to every single day for three months. Anyone emo would appreciate Jacob's honesty and delivery on Autonomy. Seriously underrated.

Pull The Moon Down for Me Pull The Moon Down for Me
A split between two of my favorite people. The feelings captured are absolutely ethereal, and "Pull the Moon Down for Me" still arrests my thought at random, with its soaring melodies and quiet promise. A fantastic introduction to both artists.
