  1. The Lake part 1 (acoustic)
    by AJ Hickling
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Deep Night Deep Night
There aren't proper words to describe AJ Hickling's piano solo pieces. When he plays, it would seem that he takes in all his surroundings and pours it into his music. The result is a beautifully stirring piano composition, the likes of which I haven't heard before. I see the painting AJ makes with his music, and it is a masterpiece.
  2. Nice.
    by Super Guitar Bros
    featured track 00:00/00:00
Game of Thrones Game of Thrones
  3. Everything and Nothing
    by Hammock
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Clarity Clarity
Hammock, in my mind, is one of the great masters of the ambient soundscape. In this album, they have brought in more vocals and expanded their sound from their previous endeavors. I think this album is on par with Oblivion Hymns in sheer impact. It's another masterpiece, perfect for staring up at the stars or inwards at yourself.
  4. Sun & Moon
    by Timbre
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
SUN: Song of the Sun SUN: Song of the Sun
This album is artfully sculpted, and displays the strength of talent and vision of Timbre. My personal favorite is Song of the Sun, which displays a similar cheerful and soothing sound to an Enya track, it just makes me smile!
  5. Fast Forward
    by EL TEN ELEVEN
    featured track 00:00/00:00
Peter And Jack Peter And Jack
  6. Mietteitä
    by Nest
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Konevitsan kilke ja kaiku Konevitsan kilke ja kaiku
I love Nest and this album because they have introduced me to an instrument I had never heard before: the Kantele. The expert playing of the Kantele in this album forms wispy soundscapes and conveys the dedication of the player.
  7. Momotaro
    by Takenobu
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    The Monkey The Monkey
Takenobu proves that he is a one-man power house in this album. His vision of the album comes through in each piece, and the story of the boy in the peach (Momotaro) really brings the whole piece to life! The music and the story fit so well together, it feels to me as if one is the translation of the other, that they are two facets of the very same thing. Takenobu: master (musical) interpreter
  8. In the Field
    by AJ Hickling
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Beneath a Canopy of Leaves Beneath a Canopy of Leaves
The sounds of nature in the background of this album enhance it far beyond what a lone piano could produce. It conjures my most euphoric memories of home; this is another album that I thoroughly enjoy. For those who love the new-age piano music like George Winston, I believe this album is a must!
  9. Island of Echoes
    by The Wilderness of Manitoba
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    White Woods White Woods
Every album by The Wilderness of Manitoba is different, and I love that about them. The airy vocals and harmonies paired with the instrumentation in this album have come together to create a warmer, brighter feeling than previous releases. In all, it's another brilliant release by a very interesting group.
  10. Sunrise
    by Karavika
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Little Road Song Little Road Song
Karavika is a special group, blending styles together across cultures. They mix sprawling strings with bouncing tabla to create a tapestry of sound. The result is amazing, and I hope to hear more from them soon!

The Lament of Eustace Scrubb The Lament of Eustace Scrubb
These two siblings, and the band that supports them, have produced another amazing group of songs. This album is introspective and energetic, juxtaposing soft vocals with energetic instrumentals. This album also tells a story throughout the various pieces. Every time I play this album, I love it even more than the last.
  13. The Oh Hellos
    by The Oh Hellos
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Trees Trees
The Oh Hellos are quickly becoming one of my very favorite groups. This duo has an energy and thoughtfulness that pervades their work, and 'Trees' especially. This is a group to watch! And listen to (over, and over, and over again.) Support them, and your ears will thank you.
  14. Grassy Roads, Wandering Feet (2015)
    by The Bombadils
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Nova Scotia Goodbye Nova Scotia Goodbye
The sound that this band has produced defies my attempts and classifying it: there are hints of folk, celtic, bluegrass, jazz, classical, all seamlessly blended into the beautiful sound you hear in this album. When I listen to The Bombadils, I can't help but to smile and tap my feet. This is truly music, capturing heart and imagination.
  15. Towns EP
    by Hunting Stories
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Soldier Song Soldier Song
This band has a sound that is vocally rich like Mumford & Sons, but intimate like The Oh Hellos. The result is magnificent! I can't wait to see what else they can create.
  16. The Tempest
    by Hunting Stories
    00:00/00:00
    The Tempest The Tempest
The B side from Towns EP is as mesmerizing as the other songs from Hunting Stories. Beautiful harmonies and haunting lyrics, The Tempest is another masterpiece by Hunting Stories. I am even more convinced that we will be hearing more great music from his group in time to come!
  17. Woodfall
    by Musk Ox
    favorite track 00:00/00:00

  18. Musk Ox Re-release
    by Musk Ox
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Sur Une Infinie Route De Terre Sur Une Infinie Route De Terre
Musk Ox has a knack for producing instrumental music that is as descriptive as any vocal music. Listening to this album, I can't help shivering every once and a while; whether that is because of the beautifully crafted instrumental pieces or because of the vivid landscapes they paint within their music, I cannot be sure.
  19. Solstice
    by Musk Ox
    track 00:00/00:00
Musk Ox's music simply transports me somewhere else - and this piece is no exception. Solstice is a beautiful blend of classical guitar and ambient music.
  20. The Face of Patience
    by Musk Ox
    track 00:00/00:00
This is yet another rich piece of music by Musk Ox, painting vivid landscapes and generally capturing my imagination. It makes me want to drop what I'm doing and explore the mountains!
  21. Kenotic
    by Hammock
    00:00/00:00
The Air Between Us The Air Between Us
Ambient music at its best, Hammock's Kenotic soothes the listener into a trance and allows their mind to drift where it will. This music can be meditative, relaxing, introspective, or any number of things; however, it is always great music!
  22. Oblivion Hymns
    by Hammock
    00:00/00:00
Then the Quiet Explosion Then the Quiet Explosion
Oblivion Hymns' tracks all meld into one slowly evolving sound that softly pulls you in, taking your breath away, and imparts a sense that you just missed something incredibly momentous. By the time the album reaches "Tres Domine," something feels better, fixed. Hammock has proved itself yet again.
  23. Take Everything
    by Rivers & Robots
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Fountains Fountains
Rivers & Robots produces a fun sound full of harmonies and breathy vocals. Their music brings a sound to the scene of Christian worship music that I haven't heard before, and it's refreshing!

Zelda Ocarina of Time - Gerudo Valley Zelda Ocarina of Time - Gerudo Valley
Super Guitar Bros' expert compositions feature two guitars, playing pieces from classic Nintendo games. Even if you aren't completely entranced by the significance of these songs (so much nostalgia!), I bet you will enjoy the masterful guitar playing. These are two talented guitarists!
  28. For Emily EP

    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Reprise Reprise
ETE has updated their sound yet again, and I love it as much as ever. As much as the duo seems to love playing their music, I love listening to it. I can't help the head-bob that starts whenever I hear their music!
  29. Transitions Remixed (album)
    by EL TEN ELEVEN
    favorite track 00:00/00:00

  30. Transitions (album)
    by EL TEN ELEVEN
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Tiger Tiger Tiger Tiger
I fell in love with ETE as soon as I discovered their first album (El Ten Eleven). I am amazed every time I listen to their music, especially this album; to think that only two people are producing this music is astounding. Spine chills and head-bobbing aplenty, this album has to be my favorite by ETE!
  31. Every Direction Is North (album)
    by EL TEN ELEVEN
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Estrella Estrella
ETE has a knack of producing music that just makes me happy, and Every Direction Is North is no exception. Without fail, it makes me want to hum along, bob my head, and generally make myself look silly (I'm terribly uncoordinated). Every Direction Is North is another awesome album by ETE!
  32. These Promises Are Being Videotaped (album)
    by EL TEN ELEVEN
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Chino Chino
In this album, ETE has moved more into the rock realm with their music. As always, expert looping and layering done by this duo make it hard to believe that only two people made this music. This album is guaranteed to make whatever you're doing seem much more intense!
  33. It's Still Like A Secret (album)
    by EL TEN ELEVEN
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Falling Falling
ETE is an exceptionally gifted group that seem to effortlessly create music. In this album, we continue to see their creativity making great grooves (using a bow on the double-necked guitar is pretty cool!) This is yet another fun album by ETE.
