The beautiful mix of Brazilian and Uruguayan music makes this a unique album. Love the dreamy, floating production that gives it this introspective feeling.
Post-bop with little incursions into free jazz. But it's got it's groovie parts too, and the lyrics (poems?) add a unique beauty to it. If you speak Spanish, you need to hear this and give it the time it deserves.
The keyboarder from Viejas Raíces. It is indeed a bit like the Herbie Hancock of the 70s, but with a Latin American vibe. The more intimate tracks (piano and voice) are of stunning sensitivity too. Very balanced album.
