Masterfully blended accord, sonically vivid, emotionally dense. Old pain being flushed out with new pain. It’s like falling in love for the first time with someone while she’s taking her dying breath. It allows one to be troubled therapeutically and affords one relief through sad expression. It’s a good album to cry to.
As a soundtrack to a game, it is fitting; but I think it stands on its own, and I like to experience it on its own, without invoking the faceless penitent antihero.
