I've only known about this album for maybe 3 days, and it's already one of my favorites. There's a lot of math rock out there, but this really hits the right technicality buttons without unnecessary wankery. Technical proficiency can be learned, but songwriting is talent. Piglet has the former and the latter.

The only really disappointing thing about the album is that it's the only one of its kind.

Perhaps the best Boris album since Pink. That's not speaking lightly, since Boris' recent work has been excellent.

    Each Others Each Others
Solid album from Boyfrndz. They're still evolving as a band, and I get the feeling that this album shows a different side of them. Not my favorite work, but I wouldn't call it anything less than quite good.

I'll have to visit it later.

I can't put into words how much I love this album. It has everything that I need - excellent songwriting, strong musicianship, and a certain degree of timelessness. I feel like I'll be listening to, and loving, this album for many years to come.

Stellar math-rock. Still relatively underground, but they deserve more attention.

That Hat Makes You Look Like George Lucas That Hat Makes You Look Like George Lucas
I listened to this album a whole bunch when I was a broke-ass grad student (disclaimer: I am still a broke-ass grad student). I got it for free then, so I felt like returning the favor once I found some cash.

Marnie Stern is one of my favorite math rock artists, and this album doesn't disappoint in any fashion. It's just a perfect combination of lyrical and vocal prowess, rhythms, and melodies.

We're goin' in. We're going down. We're goin' in. We're going down.
This is an amazing album through and through. It's brutally short though - my only criticism.
