Tanjiir's debut album is an exhilarating piece of post-metal best listened to in a dark room while rain patters the glass of a nearby window. The soaring guitars serve as the backbone to the band's identity as they traverse through 5 experimental and interestingly arranged yet entirely distinctive pieces. While there's no dip in quality across the album, my favourite tracks are "Against the Backbone of Night" and the aptly titled "Hypergiant", which feels both adrenaline-rushing and colossal.
